May, June, July

Wow, life gets so busy and I find it hard to get on here frequently to post things that happen in our little lives. So I am going to try to go back and tell you what has been going on for my journaling purposes. Well since fall Jody has been wanting to go camping so the first weekend in May we decided to gear up and go. We decided to get Kayden his own little camping chair and so when we brought it home for him we set it up and he was so thrilled to have a chair his size. He was being so cute and kept sitting in it like he was a big kid and giggling. Here are a few pictures that I took:"CHEESE"
Such a big boy
I sure love him!

Well we went up Hyrum Canyon. We went with Jody's Dad, his sister Shylo and her husband Tyler and there 2 kids Tapanga & Whitney, and his little brother Riley and his wife Felecia. While we were up there we went dirt biking which Kayden was afraid of, Jody took him for a ride on it and he would scream. After a couple rides he warmed up to it and was fine with it. This was Kayden's first time camping and we weren't sure what he was going to be like. He had a hard time sleeping so he slept between Jody and I, so neither of us got very much sleep because he is such a wild sleeper. The first night it was really cold, so I put a couple extra layers of clothes on Kayden but throught the night he got hot so we ended up taking all of the extra clothes off. But at least he wasn't cold! Other than sleeping he did really well, he loves to be outdoors so he was loving every minute of it. He loved playing in the hammocks with Whitney.
June was quiet the busy month for us and family reunions. Well May 29th was my Thain family reunion with all my relatives from my Great, great, great Grandpa Thain's Family. My dad, his oldest brother Kay and his sister Marcia are usually the ones that always plan our family reunions. We all met at the Logan Cemetary for a little Geneology Game, we had to look at the head stones and find certain relatives and write the Date of Birth, Death date and a marriage date if they were married. So not all of them were deceased, it was a fun little game it made you go around and talk to people that you have never met before. So we got to know alot of people. We then went back to the Benson Church and had Lunch and played some games, they had different rooms in the church for different activities. They had me be in charge of the 1-2 yr olds, we made fruit loop necklaces, played with balloons, colored. It was really nice to see everybody! After we cleaned everything up at the church, my siblings and I decided to go to the Thain Dairy Farm and look around. All the kids loved it, they were feeding the cows hay and climbing in the hay bails. It was nice to go back to the farm, we had alot of wonderful childhood memories. I love my family, they all mean so much to me and are such wonderful people. I am so blessed to come from such wonderful people!

June 3-5, was the Garn family reunion Jody's mother and her siblings families. Jody's sister Shylo wanted to take Kayden with her because we both had to work, Thursday and Friday. We came out thursday after work and then after Kayden went to sleep we went back home, we came back out friday after work and then we stayed the night. Friday night we played some baseball with the kids, after we were done playing Kayden went and got the bat and he would throw a ball and try to swing at it and while he would throw the ball he would say "go". Because everytime the pitcher would throw the ball he would say that, it's so funny at what stuff he picks up on. Then it started raining so we all went under the pavillion to play some games and just talk. Kayden kept following a bunch of the kids out into the rain to jump into puddles of water, a while later I hear a slurping sound so I look over and I see Kayden laying on the cement on his stomach drinking the puddle of water. It was kind of funny, but gross at the same time. On Saturday morning they got all the kids together, they got a tarp out and they put a pile of saw dust on the tarp. They get a couple hundred dollars in coins and they start at the youngest age group which was Kayden's and they put some coins in the saw dust and the kids have to go search for the coins in a certain time limit. Kayden didn't really care about the coins he just enjoyed playing in the saw dust, so I got a few pictures. Saturday afternoon we went swimming at the school pool in Tremonton, it was alot of fun. We bought a life jacket for Kayden because everytime we would get in the water he would have this death grip on your swimming suit. It helped quite a bit, he would jump off the side of the pool into the water, he would float on the water on his back without freaking out. While we were swimming he actually fell asleep on his back for about an hour, while I was kindof holding him. Tired little man. After swimming we went back to Grandma Garn's house and ate some lunch and mingled a little more. We had alot of fun!

June 11-13, was my Family Reunion with my siblings we went to Lava Hot Springs. We got there Friday afternoon, it was a little chilly but we went swimming anyways. It wasn't too bad unless you got out of the swimming pool, but we ended up going into the inside swimming pool because it felt 10 degrees warmer. Saturday we were going to go swimming again but it was rainy and cold, we went fishing on the river next to our campground. No one caught anything but it was fun anyways! After lunch we played some games like rainbow tag, and some of those "Win it in a Minute" games such as the oreo on the forehead using only facial muscles to get it into your mouth, transfer a cotton ball from one bowl to another with vaseline on your nose, etc. it was alot of fun even though it was rainy and cold. It is alway alot of fun to hang out with family!

Well ever since it has been so hot outside, I have a little fish for a son. If I am inside he will bring me his shoes and say outside swim. He loves to play in the water, so we have been getting out his little swimming pool for him to play in. The water is freezing cold but he doesn't care, he also loves to play with balls any kind. He has quite the arm on him, he can throw pretty far maybe we will have a little baseball player or soccer player.

Getting dry and warm
My little stud muffin, while he was playing with dads hat and his sunglasses. I was doing the thumbs up and saying cool, dude. So then he proceeded to do the same to me, see the movie at the end of this post. So cute!
Little Cheeser
We bought Kayden a new little swimming pool, his other one I think has a hole in it, you blow it up and the air slowly leaks out. Anyways we went to Kings the other day and they are closing so we got a pretty good deal on it. It's a little bigger than I thought but oh well, he thinks that it is fun.

It has a ring toss

and a fun slide.
Anyways, we are glad that summer if finally here and have been enjoying this wonderful weather.

July 4th weekend was quite fun. We went to the stadium fireworks on Friday with my family we go to the same place every year and is quite an excellent seat for the show. Kayden loved the fireworks, every firework that went off he would say "wow", I love him. Saturday we went to the Criuse In with my parents and Jody's parents, it was fun to see all the old cars. Jody loves looking at all the old cars. That night we went to my parents for fireworks, great fireworks. Sunday the 4th Shane and Megan, Jody's brother blessed there little boy Tayson and it is Jody's dads birthday, so we had a little family get together and then did fireworks that night. Monday we went to Hyrums parade, Jody's sister Shylo works for Little Wonders Daycare and she had all the little kids on the float with her, so Kayden went on the float too. It was a really long parade but a good one. That night we went to the Hyrum fireworks, another good show. We hope everyone had a wonderful July 4th weekend too!
